Privacy Policy
Resonance (“the app”) is an iPad party game developed by Emilian Scheel. This policy explains what information the app uses, what stays on your device, and what is sent to Apple or other services when you play.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require an account.
- We do not operate our own servers for gameplay.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use advertising identifiers.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Information stored on your iPad
The app saves the following data locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData):
- Player names you enter
- Scores and completed game history
- Song titles, artists, and years from turns you played
- Your seating layout and in-progress game state
- Which song catalog or Apple Music playlist you selected for a game
This information stays on your iPad unless you delete the app or erase the app's data. We do not receive copies of it.
Apple Music and media library access
Resonance asks for permission to access Apple Music and your media library so it can play songs during the game, list your Apple Music playlists so you can choose one as a song source, and show album artwork for songs and artists.
Song playback and playlist selection require permission and an active Apple Music subscription. If you deny permission, those features will not be available.
Resonance reads playlist and playback information through Apple's MusicKit framework. We do not upload your library contents to our own servers.
Network requests
When you play, the app may connect to Apple Music / MusicKit to search for songs, resolve catalog metadata and artwork, and play full tracks for subscribers.
These requests are made directly from your iPad to Apple's services. We do not proxy them through our own backend.
Diagnostics
The app may write technical messages to the device console during development and troubleshooting (for example, playback status). These logs are not sent to us automatically.
Children
Resonance is a local multiplayer game and does not collect personal information from players. Because the app can play music from Apple Music and the open catalog, parental guidance is recommended where age-appropriate content is a concern.
Your choices
You can deny or revoke Apple Music / media library access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music. You can delete all locally stored game history by deleting the app.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
